Looking back at his past and forward into his future, Luke I believe began to make certain adjustments to his life. He believed while there was still time, he should try and right whatsoever wrongs there might be remaining from his past and that he should prepare his last departure. Luke in general was not a very sentimental or tender man, but he lovingly cared for his wife till her end in 2009. He saw to it her last wishes were respected and then began making plans himself to follow her. In those last years he frequently reminded everyone of us, gently and with humour -- never harshly, that we also should be prepared for his passing. When Luke's time came, it was mercifully swift, he was as comfortable as could be possible, with Raymond and Donna at his side. We who are his legacy, the inheritors of his will and his love, have much to learn from this small, but humble giant of a human being. I love you so much Dad!
